We are happy to announce that our Atherstone Branch will soon become a franchised location.
From Monday 5th June 2023, Dean & Katie Weston will become the new owners of this already successful office location. Their robust business plan will ensure the branch flourishes like never before. Since 2013, Atherstone has played a pivotal role in Kenect Recruitment’s growth plans and will now become one of the key franchised locations in the Midlands.
Kenect Recruitment has been continuing to strengthen its position within the UK to help support our ever-growing network of national clients. One key strategy to help us achieve this was to identify potential weaknesses within our geographical coverage and look to bring in exceptional recruiters within owned locations or as franchisees. This new franchise will play a key role in supporting surrounding counties and allow us to reach further into desired territories.
Managing Director, Jason Whittenham said; “The sale of an already successfully owned location to a franchisee is very unusual and something we wouldn’t normally consider. However, Dean and Katie have been with the business for many years and are fully dedicated to its success. They have shown a clear interest in Atherstone and their passion for the location for a long time now.
As a business owner, it’s important to identify different opportunities for existing members of staff. It’s about being understanding and flexible when it comes to progression and the certain roads and opportunities available to achieve success.

New Franchise Owner, Dean Weston said; “My journey with Kenect Recruitment began nine years ago, having teamed with Jason in a previous role for a national competitor.
When approached to help launch a new branch for Kenect based in Atherstone, I eagerly accepted. Within a few months, the weekly GP reached in excess of £10k. Since then, I’ve witnessed changes in both Kenect and my own career. I’ve been appointed as Divisional Manager to Operations Director and more recently, UK Sales Director.
I’ve always been interested in the franchise arm of the business and often discussed with Katie my desire to own my very own Kenect franchise. I’m excited about the new forthcoming chapter in my career and looking forward to some healthy competition on the branch leader board. As they say – watch this space!”
